    I have tried test, haven't got jetty up+ running , did  1 king of the hill challenge last  year, have 4 buildings under level 6, was given + have spent well over  10M gold and don't have  CC or HW or other stuff and I struggled, Its way to much, way to soon.
  • Have been working on the test server & agree with Rusty Farmer & Lesley.  Even with the 10 million gold it was not nearly enough.  Too much too soon.  Trying not to be pessimistic but thinking this is going to be a real mess.  Let's call it "The Bug Farm" & we'll get rewards for tallying all the bugs that don't get fixed (plenty of bugs still on the test farm).   :*

    This is no where even close to adequately tested on the test server.  I know our co-op is nowhere close to building the jetty yet, and frankly, I think there could potentially be serious design problems with the boat's schedule (I was waiting until I had actually tested it, to see if my hypothesis was correct or not).

    If you really want to roll out the village (which, honestly, I don't think should be done until you fix layout mode), you should do it in stages, just like on the test server.  It's going to take us at least 2 weeks to upgrade our village to the point of being able to build the meadow/jetty (upgrades take 1 day at minimum, and I think we need a lvl 12 factory for cloth).  Only implementing the basic 4 village buildings and edge crops (i.e. the things that have been tested a lot and seem to work fine) and having testing continue on the other parts until they're ready seems like a better plan to me.

    Well, I reckon I'm ready for this to happen.  It's almost certainly going to be a fiasco, but not so much because of any bugs - rather just the task of getting people to understand what all the new things are and how they work. Only 5 people in my co-op have been on the Test Server at all to know anything about the village.  The rest are in for a LOT of confusion and overwhelm.  LOL!

  • Im not sure where to put this. Since it has to do with the CO-OP Challenge i guess its ok here. I dont think we are getting all the rewards promised. For some reason after the co-op got to enough points to get 100 deco parts,it skipped it and went to the next prize. I never got my 100 decoration parts that was promised and neither did anyone else in my co-op!!!!!!!!

    Not the right place and you need to contact support the moderators cant help you get lost items. Your deco parts would be in the little box I believe you may have just looked in the wrong place for them.

    Two things:

    1.  I hope GGS is working the weekend.  We all know that there are many bugs in the village on the test server.

    2.  Seaweed (that drops from fish) is required for certain components, so the fishing levels problem must be addressed.  I checked and I have only 2 members of my coop that have reached fishing level 40 (and these are big players).  So why not simply lower the level at which seaweed starts to drop.  For most coops to have any at all, you would need to lower it from 61 down to probably the 30-ish range.  Then, the rate at which fishing xp accumulates would be less problematic.  And the village features would be usable.

    This is not going to start well. Not that I don't find the Village enhancement interesting and possibly fun, but I was overwhelmed just reading about it. I have to agree with many others here, baby steps, please.

    I must agree with above posts, trying to bring all this in at once is a bit daft .However, much of this is down to our own coops, if you don't fancy the horse meadow  or Yarnacle, both of which seem to offer minimal returns for a lot of effort , then don't implement them . Both of these need products from quite high level factories to be of much use .
     As for the Village Challenge, i'm hoping the usual suspects will zoom off to top of the hill, leaving the rest of us in peace :-)

    Only 2 weeks??????????? WOW - that IMHO is only possible if all members throw in a loooooooooot of time, dollars and gold. My own experience is that building the village is a very slow process and everybody in a coop has to participate. That we could build the village at least a bit was due to the fact that GGS gave us (yep, better believe it, read: g a v e) lots of dollars and gold, and therefore we could speed up things.

    In my coop members are allowed to farm their farms like they want, to decide whether they participate in something or not, we are not big gold buyers and can't play more then a few hours per day (usually less) - so the Village is prolly not our thingy.

    Until last October I thought the village might be a nice "game on the side" if all members of my coop could be patient enough to accept that any progress in the village is intensely slow - so I already had my doubts. But launching ánd village, ánd league, ánd Yarnacle, ánd meadow at the same time while things have not been tested well enough - bit overwhelming / bit too soon / bit too much if you ask me.

    Being forced to participate in something spending tons of your money/gold, GGS launching 4 complex features at the same time, while the BF game is busy enough without the whole village-happening and we are awaiting a 4th farm?? Layout Mode isn't fixed yet. Still trying to get used to completely changed numbers in the island events, the horse tournaments, the CC event, etc. etc. ... well ... I think I rather safe my money for the 4th farm.

    This maybe something for the huge coops with over 50 players, all gold buyers and tons of millions of $ ... (?)

    ... but no, doesn't sound like our thingy. I think we'll leave the village idle for the time being ...

    All I can say is YIKES!  

    Fishing and Layout mode should be fixed before this update. Wow.

    FYI we have the jetty up and running and it takes takes takes  and gives a drop in return big fail so far don't know how much this will change over time and upgrades but like matilda academy and lester's tree very lil return on a lot of work and loss in materials we could be making money on.

    Is it also a 4 day weekend for Easter in Germany, so if anything does go wrong, there will be little support.

    Comes as a surprise that it rolls out so soon, but since there was nearly no response on test, they might be hoping to get more response here. :):) The whole bundle at the same time is not a problem. Those who want to use it will progress step by step. Have seen huge updates like that in other games and loved it. The problem is GGS. Their quality of work and their ability to tie things in the game together, neither of which is great. If it doesn't mess up other parts of the game I'm ok with that. Will mostly ignore the whole thing for some time, if not forever. Anything connected to co-op is usually near useless and boring in this game (talking from position of casual player). If there are parts which can have some meaning and benefit for the game (and here I mean farming economy simulator game, not crazy nonstop clicking/spending casino game as I'm sure there's plenty for latter), we'll find out in due time. Didn't think there was much of former last time I was on test server, but who knows, maybe we'll figure something out upon careful analysis.

    Over two years of playing BF taught me to be mostly indifferent towards whatever these people do as usually mess piles upon mess and there's been no substantial correction to it. If they kill the game, then it's their game they killed. I won't cry over it's coffin. :):) On the other hand forums might be quite fun now. :) If I was mod, I'd go on holiday for a week and come back when everybody figured out at least the basics ............ :) Let's see. As you know, no anouncement is ever safe here. You might learn in a few hours that the thingy is too buggy and the roll out is postponed to an unspecified later time........... :) Let's go rock & rolling. :)

    Here is another massive need......Everyone uses the notepad in the main coop window to list projects.  This notepad holds very little.  We now have to have village upgrade schedules and needed crops, etc.    We desperately need more space in this notepad.

    Update and then go on Easter holidays, potentially dodgy BUT...presumably they will be working Thursday 13th so at least one day to hotfix any bugs.
