I think you are kind of taking this personally, which is why ggs should make the snowy background an option for those who want it.

It would be nice if members could select a farm to use the snow background on.  Best one would be the Gourmet Farm since the goats and donkeys from the Viking Farm have snow on them.  They could be used at the Gourmet Farm with a snowy background along with any snow covered decos a member might have and they could use one of the styles of snow covered houses available as well.  People could use their Christmas decos there too.

Then those that didn't want the snow background could elect to not use the snow background.

This new snow is fine, as it is no where near as much glare and away from the farms.  As a person who was against it for sight reason, I have no problems with this.  I can not speak for other players tho

Agree 100% much better this years than in years past. And I like the fact that I can make it look as if it is snowing on my farms when & if I want to

I also like the snow that they have put on our farms.  It is not near the actual farming area, which is great.  It is just on the outskirts.

The snow at the edges is nice, and I like the falling snow .
I wish we could have more pieces that butt up against one another so I could cover those dirt trails in my ski area. (I don't really like the dirt trails even in summer, but they look so silly in the snow.)

You have to go into your settings and turn it on.

Agree, love the new way for the snow.... not on farms but on the outskirts, and love the extra graphics in the snow with the sleds, snowmen, etc.   And love the falling snow effect.   Also love the winter graphics for Big Farm before you get to your actual farm.  Nice job !!!

@ Fallen (INT1)  You have no idea of what your missing out on. Cosy, curl up indoors and skiing, sledging, skating outdoors. Snowball fights with family and/or friends (great fun) and making a snowman or two or digging a snowcave lite up by candles + drinking hot chocolate (magical especially when the sun has gone down). Snow gives us all that and more

@Summer (SKN1)  Yeah love to see you go to the beach there and have fun at BBQ (at the beach, in the park, in the backyard) with family, lay beside the pool wearing only speedo's.  Have a real Christmas, outside all day, wearing just shorts or ladies getting around in Bikini's ...

@ Byron Longford (AU1) All that I can enjoy during the summer season Except celebrating Christmas ofc. Sun never sets for more then approx an hour or so before it rises, pending on where in Norway one is. So we can actually enjoy the beach + BBQ 24/7. Temp is between 24 - 32C. Sooooo we get both joys -> summer + winter

editing in: defining "have a real Christmas" all comes down to what one is used to. I am used to a white Christmas so to me that isssss to "have a real Christmas"

I would hate that. My entire family burns to a crisp.
We were spawned in the mists, and don't do well under the sun.
(That's why we live here, where there are at least thin clouds almost constantly.)

I am sorry to hear that GrammaLeah (US1). Burn to a crisp does not sound OK. Good thing there are areas here on earth where one can avoid that
