The flash link does not work, it says file not found, and I can't play without the flash.
The game does not work properly without it. Like some others I have read, I can't
find my cursor and the game just does not work like it is supposed to. Like others I
have been playing this game for years. Please bring back the flash.
are you using edge by chance?if so please try chrome or firefox they work a lot better for a lot of people i hope they can get it working for everyone soon

    Hello Big Farmers !

We have a suggestion to help you play Big Farm in a faster environment and it's as safe as playing in your browser!

This is the same flash player that you are using when you play on Chrome, Firefox, Opera, Internet Explorer, Edge or any other browser but it works without the need of any browser and therefore the performance of Big Farm should see a benefit and your experience should be a lot smoother.

    How to use it:
    1. Click on this LINK a separate flash player will download on your computer. [Clicking the link will automatically start the download].
    2. Open the file and select "Run" to open the Flash Player.
    3. Select File-->Open and in the window that appears paste this link: https://media.goodgamestudios.com/games/ranch/goodgameranch.swf
    4. Click "OK" and Big Farm will start loading!

We hope this will improve your experience in Big Farm even more

Disclaimer: Any action in-game that would usually open a new window or tab (buying gold, clicking the forum or support buttons for example) will open a new browser window outside of this flash player. In the case you are purchasing gold do not worry, the gold will be added to your account as usual.

Disclaimer 2 : If you want to use the standalone flash player instead of the browser plugin please be aware of the fact that you cannot profit anymore from the security systems the browser provides. Therefore you are responsible for implementing enough security mechanisms on your pc.
We cannot take any responsibility for problems which may occur on your pc by using this tip!

    Best Regards,
    Your Community Team

@Bobby88 (AU1) yes, html will be the only way to play, flash is being discontinued by its developer and GGS had to make the switch to html5!!
  • Hi,
Having issues with the change.  Cursor as described above- ability to collect is very slow.  Not loading correctly, or very slow to load.
The greenhouse to start shows the ring elsewhere than around the greenhouse.  The ability to click on the visitors to the farm is not working well.  These are a few issues I have noticed so far.
I have used both Chrome and Edge to see and the problem of the cursor is not present in Chrome but it is not helpful when the main farm will not load and show the fields elsewhere and therefore cannot collect.

im usig Flash Player 26, is perfect.much better than before. ill stay on Flash until it will last. but still no answer how to play fom phone or tablet
HTML dont works on mobile devices, the game opens , but you cant move around the farm
  • JVD (US1)JVD (US1) US1 Posts: 2,784
This game was not designed as a mobile device game, hence there is probably no support for the issue with this change to html forced by other entities than GGS... :(

I try my links and every one looks ok.
  • The game now is so annoyingly slow.  I can do less now with the same amount of gameplay with flash

It is the nature of information technology that both software and hardware develop at phenomenal rates, so much so that it is hard for most of us to keep up and our devices too become dated very quickly.

As mentioned before, Big Farm was never developed to work on mobile devices but enterprising farmers found ways and means to get around that with Puffin and the Standalone Flash player, etc.

Now that those are becoming obsolete, some will indeed be able to play on their mobile devices using HTML5 and by choosing to log into the game's "Desktop Site" to play.

But successfully using a web page's Desktop site on a mobile device requires that particular mobile device to be able to cope with such a demand.

And so not everyone will be able to use their mobile devices successfully to play Big Farm.  I, for eg, am also unable to do this because apparently my tablet, like its owner, is too old and/or too weak to cope.

  • This is just not working for me! I was really happy with Flash player version, this new version is slowing the game. I would like to switch to Flash Player version. How?

  • Hi Farmers!

After the HTML5 switch the standalone Flash player will no longer function after a while. Initially it may still work and you may still be able to play the game, but by the end of February this will no longer be a possibility. Please make sure you have upgraded your browser to the latest version in order to get the most out of the HTML5 version of the game. We apologise to those who enjoyed using the standalone Flash player but unfortunately Flash is no longer supported and as a result the Flash player will also not function any longer.

By the end of February?????  NOPE!  It's gone today. I was really hoping some of the major issues in HTML would have been resolved by the time the flash player was gone for good,  I still can barely read a thing on the screen, it takes so long to harvest items, and touch screen isn't fully functionable.  Sigh ........ and a boo hoo

Yup, I am also no longer able to use the stand-alone flash as of today. It just keeps saying connection to the server interrupted and never goes further to get to the login screen.

I can hardly play this game any longer. Over a year wasted and rl money spent. IT SUCKS!  I have a great lap top, it is not slow on anything but this game. Welp, time to find a new one... Thanks Big Farm for taking away what I paid for.

Yup my standalone flash doesn't work either. I thought it was getting cut in late Feb......I could have sworn there was still a month to go before I went to bed last night, did I sleep through an entire month??

HTML is a joke, why do GGS expect us to play a game that is so beyond broken its simply not funny anymore?

I can´t understand this. That some have no problems with HTML5 while others have problems. I have no problems with speed, cursor, clear picture. Am on google chrome. Latest update. Hear that others on firefox are happy with it too.

    What can the reason be?

    Cheers

I'm wondering the same thing, is it farm setup? I have 37 fields so my gaming is a bit click heavy. I do have an older computer system but i'm reading that even players with new computers are having big problems. I run firefox and while it does play well in the first half hour or so it goes downhill fast after that.

This game should run well for every user, GGS can't expect people to get the newest systems and expensive software AND on top of that buy subscriptions and gold just to play their game.

Older computers, less RAM, older video cards (or worse, NO video card, and using the one built into the CPU).

Older computers were ok for Flash, which took up very little memory (especially in the stand-alone player), but HTML is a lot more memory intensive. Those that needed the stand-alone Flash player to play are probably NOT going to have computers powerful enough to run the HTML version. :(

i know money can be hard to get for people but my game is working pretty good just the cursor sticking problem and i just have a 300ish dollar windows 10 i bought from walmart over a year ago so does not have to be a super expensive computer yes a 2k dollar gaming computer would probably work a lot better lol but just has to be newish they have made a lot of  improvements with graphic cards and stuff over the years that todays games need that the older systems just dont have

Thank you Southern (US1) and ijrosh (US1)  I thought it had something to do with memory and better upgraded cards aso, but I am in no way a computer wizard so held back on mentioning it. Better to get the experts in  You guys.

Bottom line its not all GGS fault other then that they have built a game that demands more memory aso. And Adobe thats scratching flash. Our old trusty puters will struggle :disappointed:

EXACTLY - this is what I have been saying all of today.  I was fine in puffin with flash and I am fine in "desktop site" on opera and chrome EXCEPT I cannot move the screen.  I cannot see my whole farm.
  • ALL OF THIS INFORMATION WOULD BE VERY HELPFUL IF I UNDERSTOOD HOW TO DO IT
