Not impressed with what Santa's workshop was built up to be. Big Let Down.

I was not impressed either as I said in another post just another way for them to get us to use our gold so we did not get stuck with another deco we already had.  Note to myself stay away next december.
  • I have to agree. big build up, even bigger let down. Instructions in forum on using Santas workshop are not clear & misleading. Very dissapointed. Was expecting better from them.

I used the Santa"s Workshop decorations as parts to improve my other decorations so they didn't go to waste completely.

I still haven't figured out what to do will the massive amount of snowflakes I get with each harvest.  Are they worth anything without adding gold to them for something???

Wish we had been able to use those for the workshop Gin

  • As I recall, they said the Santa List would be over on the 23rd of December....wow, that would give us time to build our new decorations in time for Christmas...then they added a week of snow flakes....actually it is 14 days....REALLY!!  Everyone wants to just quit....A month & a half of this????  REALLY???  I WANT MY SNOW SCENES..I rearranged my farm for them & it looks like crap while I wait....you know what, I've started putting back my beach & things the way I like it...so...since I had to wait until winter is nearly over to have a winter scene...I guess you can just keep it, cause I am soooo fed up with this SANTA THING!!

As you collect your snowflakes it will at value to the deco your co op receives in the end.

I think this is only if your coop is in the top 24

You may be right there MRG1, but I do believe as you collect the snowflakes it will increase the value of the deco in the end. If your co op can get tons of snowflakes, like you said and end up in the top 24 spots then your co op would get the best deco.

Santa's Workshop - is waste of money,
reminds me about the telescope(s) scam
You can get this low-level-2 decos cheaper by just direct buy from the game.
The scam is  your candle points goes down to zero after each buy.
The only tactics  I may suggest is to aim at ONE deco, so accumulate your funds on candles, and make the last single buy on the last day of the event.
Use 120,000-spend daily quiz to add $120,000 at Santa's shop
    Happy New Year !
    :)

Not sure about the useless part, as we do end up with 5 more decos, one for each Festive Start used in the Santa's workshop

  • The strategy of making all your donations for the last spin won't help, as you can (and do) land on the lower level decos more than once. :(

It was a waste of time and the cheap gifts that many of us have from other stupid things, like spinning the wheel, made it even more frustrating. Can these people be more creative and come up with new and better things. We might as well have been Charlie Brown and given a lump of coal.
    Thanks for noth'n
  • Yeah, I got a lot of the same decorations so it was not worth it.
  • The WHOLE THING was just to long.
  • Did I miss something? Earning the Christmas tree decoration for this year? I have one for each of the past two years and although the snow-family was nice I was wondering what this years tree would look like.

There may be a Flag and tree at then end of the event. I would not hold my breath :(

for a themed event it is pretty lame, I got six stars and used them on cheap decos I could get other ways, if anything they should stick with the events where you need a certain amount of items and get a flag or deco as a reward, the only good thing I liked in the event was the few ways to get the reward at the end of the day, at least it was a little change of pace, otherwise, the event was extremely lame

I don't like the PAY TO PLAY. Wasted alot of farm dollars for the same garbage we already earned, The Christmas events where more costly than the islands, Pitting co op members against each other SHAMELESS,
